The high-waisted trousers define the waist, something my lower-rise jeans fail to do. No muffin top here!
These shoes have a fun story. I am part of the Freecycle loop in my area, and one Sunday someone was offering a bag of shoes in my size. The pick-up location was in an affluent area, so I figured, "What the heck. I can always donate them to the thrift store if there is nothing I want." Turns out it was a bag of expensive and barely worn shoes! A week or two later the same women posted more shoes. I got another 5 pair! Nothing like free Anne Klein, 9 West, Coach, etc.
Merona shirt (thrifted), Talbots trousers (outlet), Anne Klein shoes (Freecycle), earrings (silver shop in Annapolis), ?? belt and bracelet (thrifted)
Of course I didn't wear this all day. I am a home school mom. I changed out the trousers for jeans and added a blue cardi. Gosh, I wear a lot of red and blue! Go here to see what others have cooked up.

Oh, this is pretty! I love how prim and proper it is with the high-waisted pants!
Love a good high-waist pant! Looks so great!
I really like your shirt, and I am a fan of pants that fall at the natural waistline. What a great find with the shoes!
You look so "dapper" and classy in this! And I love the shoe story. Hope you have good luck like that again.
I wear basically all blue, pink or green I think. And that's a great outfit, high-waisted pants can hide many problems in such good ways!

I love the high-waisted pants on you! They look fabulous. And, what a score with all those shoes!!! You hit the shoe jackpot. ;-)
